Dangerous Conditions At Migrant Centers
The OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL - Department of Homeland Security released a stunning report on the dangerous conditions at migrant detention centers along the USA Mexico border. READ FULL REPORT HERE
The report addresses overcrowding at four of the five Border Patrol facilities, and prolonged detention at all five facilities, in the Rio Grande Valley. Some units were standing room only housing. Children as young as 7 years old were being held for more than 2 weeks.
This alert also addresses security incidents in these facilities that reflect an escalation of the security concerns raised in the investigation.
